michael + katie

March 9th, 2012

Michael and Katie. Very much the most in-love couple we have witnessed in some time. Kissing before we asked them to – which was awesome by the way, we almost never had to pose them – Always by each others side. Texting each other all morning of thier wedding day. Oh, and Michaels’ speech.. beautiful! Never before have I heard someone continually speak about how perfect his wife is, using “love” every two or three words. In his words, Michael referred to Katie and himself as ‘Two of a kind,’ and we very VERY much agree. A beautiful young love.

Katie’s grandmother had these ken & barbie dolls crocheted when Katie was only 5 years old. The resemblance to the couple many years on is uncanny.

Katie wore a gorgeous Elizabeth De Varga gown. Little Mahlea didn’t miss out on designer gear either.

Gorgeous bouquets supplied by Flourish Design.

We just LOVE working with the fab team from Makeup4Brides and Hair4Brides.

Cloud Nine Weddings decorated a beautiful ceremony held at the Loo with a View on Mooloolaba Beach.

Katie and Michael chose Point Cartwright on the Sunshine Coast as the location for their bridal party photography.

Lumina Motion Pictures have a very rad video teaser posted to their blog of Katie & Michael’s Sunshine Coast Wedding, make sure you check that out!

Katie, Michael, we wish you nothing but the longest and happiest of lives together. XOX

p.s. Make sure to leave a comment below to share the love for Katie!!

Jane + Tim. The cutest, goodest, bestest couple ever! Enough said – Let’s get to the photos.  The day started off with wedding prep at Raffles Resort in Mooloolaba with hair & make-up by Katie at makeup4brides and Sheron at hair4brides.

Tim & Jane’s lovely ceremony and reception were held at the Headland Golf Club in Buderim. Point Cartwright beach in Kawana was used for bridal party wedding photography, one of my favourite locations on the Sunshine Coast.

Rebecca & Damien, Cotton Tree Surprise Wedding

October 30th, 2011

Rebecca sent us the most beautiful email explaining her story, and how she wanted to surprise Damien, the love of her life, with the wedding he has been so patiently waiting for. She had never felt the need to get married, or maybe just didn’t want all the excitement of a big day, so a destination holiday wedding made sense. Needless to say, we were very excited to get involved in the surprise.

Due to the Australia’s “marriage” laws, however, she was unable to keep it from Damien and had to bring him in on the plan, so keeping the secret and surprising the family had now become the goal.  Damien & Rebecca were headed up here to the Sunshine Coast for the Tasmanian Football Masters weekend, making a small holiday of it, along with Rebecca’s parents and another 200 some Tasmanians also making the trip. After 10 years together, getting married on 10/10  which fell on their holidays, worked perfectly, and would become a very special day to them both. The challenge was finding an excuse for being late to the football function, whilst the ceremony took place.

Rebecca’s family and friends always knew her as someone who would say, ‘No, no, I don’t need to get married, that’s not for me.’  So when she left the intimate beach ceremony to surprise their friends and family at the pub wearing her Wedding Dress, the surprise was surely huge.

Jane & Tim, Mooloolaba Engagement, Sunshine Coast Photographer

September 30th, 2011

An amazing dinner at a fancy restaurant.  A moonlit stroll along Mooloolaba Beach.  Sound romantic?  Well, it was.  And that is how Tim chose to propose to his sweetheart Jane.  Tim and Jane have been friends of ours for a long time, so when Tim proposed to Jane, needless to say, we were very excited.  Here are two of the most genuine people we have ever met.

After Tim and Glen finally stopped playing around on the computer, we all headed down to Mooloolaba for a relaxed engagement photoshoot.  After finding a carpark, which wasn’t easy on such a beautiful day, we started near the coffee shops along the Mooloolaba Esplanade, casually making our way back and finishing at the famous Loo with a Veiw for a lovely sunset.  All of that looking-good had made Jane hungry so with a quick stop by the local Chinese shop we were off home to share dinner. One of the most fun and relaxed photoshoots we have ever had, but if you know Tim & Jane, you’d expect nothing less.

Natalie & Dale, Sunshine Coast Wedding

July 10th, 2011

We are delighted to share some of the images from Natalie & Dale’s beautiful Sunshine Coast Wedding with you.

Natalie and Dale first met when they both signed up for a bronze medalion course at the local surf lifesaving club. Dale spotted a pretty girl at the back of the room and was instantly curious about her. Neither of them finished the course, but fate had a plan for the two. As dale showed his interest in Natalie, she was playing hard to get, even so-far-as standing him up on thier first date. Dale had all but given up hope on charming his dream girl, when an unexpeced phone call from Natalie saw the two reconnect. They soon realised they had something special. They grew into the wonderful couple, soon to be family, that we had the pleasure of sharing an amazing day with.

Although they never stuck with the course that brought them together, we’re sure that they’ll stick with each other. Forever.
